Tomás Modesto Galán

República Dominicana, 1959. Escritor dominicano que reside en Nueva York, desde el 1986. Actual presidente de la Asociación de Escritores Dominicanos en Estados Unidos (ASEDEU).  Entre sus obras más importantes se encuentran: Los Cuentos de Mount Hope (novela, 1995) En el 2014 su poemario Amor en bicicleta y otros poemas, ganó el concurso Letras de ultramar. El 16 de octubre del 2015 fue nombrado Poeta del año, por el América s Poetry Festival de Nueva York. Algunos de sus libros o textos han sido traducidos al inglés, árabe y portugués.
